Zongky Socks Steps onto Orange Island: Summer Team-Building Weaves Cool Comfort into Changsha's River-Land Legend
Changsha - At the peak of summer, Zongky Brand, the China-based sock specialist, traded office screens for river breezes and brought its entire staff to 1,700-year-old Orange Island for a season-flipped retreat that paired cool comfort with cultural depth.
"Socks carry every step; here every step meets 32 metres of history," CEO Zong Ky noted beside the Young Mao Zedong Art Sculpture, its bronze face catching early dawn light off the Xiangjiang. Between emerald citrus canopies and lotus-dotted inlets, the team shot content for Zongky's "Summer in the City" collection-moisture-wicking ankle styles in sunrise-orange and river-jade tones, knit patterns borrowed from the island's Qinyuanchun poetry stele.
Leveraging quick-entry gates and smart navigation, employees breezed through a 4-hour loop: sightseeing train to the sculpture, stele close-ups, shaded grove walks, cultural garden sketches, and a mist-cooled fountain finale-zero queues, full creative flow. Marketing live-streamed "10 k steps, zero blisters" trials on WeChat, while R&D collected weave inspiration from Hunan embroidery inside the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall.
Off-island, the group climbed Yuelu Mountain at dusk for product-strategy brainstorms, then cooled down on Taiping Old Street with stinky tofu and sugar-oil cakes-pairing local flavors with giveaway bamboo-fiber socks that proved Zongky's promise: even midsummer Changsha heat can feel like a fresh step forward.
